Q’wemtsin Health Society is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team in Kamloops, BC. Responsibilities
- Engage in community program development.
- Monitor patients and notify physicians of changes in condition.
- Participate in community needs assessments.
- Document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
- Assess patients to determine appropriate nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct disease screening and deliver health education programs.
- Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Manage home care cases and operate medical apparatus or equipment.
- Provide nursing care, supportive counselling, and life skills programming.
- Facilitate the grieving process for patients and families.
- Perform administrative tasks related to patient care.
Requirements
- Language: English
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Credentials
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
