The Opportunity
We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our team at The Gardens at Qualicum Beach in Qualicum Beach, B.C.

Responsibilities

• Resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Resident assessments and care planning
• Administration of medications, treatments, and wound care
• Proficient in electronic documentation (PointClickCare) and MDS Assessments
• Liaising with physicians, families, and other care team members
• Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers
• Charge Nurse responsibilities
• Participating in Care Conferences and Medication Reviews

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Competent in electronic documentation and eMAR
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Previous Long-Term Care experience preferred
• COVID vaccination certificate required

Skills and Knowledge Needed

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Education and Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
• Registered with a provincial nursing body (e.g., BCCNM for BC)
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Additional certifications (e.g., wound care, gerontology) may be an asset
