Requirements

  • Clear English communication
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience is an asset – full training and ongoing support provided
  • CPR & First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain immediately)
  • Physically strong – able to safely lift/transfer up to 81–100 kg (177–220 lbs) using proper techniques
  • Male caregiver strongly preferred (for client comfort and dignity)
  • Non-smoker

Your Core Responsibilities
Personal Care and Health Support:

• Administer medications accurately and according to prescribed schedules
• Assist client with bathing and all aspects of personal hygiene
• Provide comprehensive personal care with dignity, respect, and professionalism
• Support client with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed
• Monitor client’s well-being and report any changes or concerns
• Provide meaningful companionship and emotional support
• Assist with daily living activities to promote independence

Nutrition and Meal Preparation:

• Cook nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to client’s dietary needs and preferences
• Prepare and serve meals with attention to presentation and nutrition
• Ensure proper hydration and meal schedules are maintained
• Accommodate any dietary restrictions or health-related requirements

Household Management:

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a healthy environment
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the home
• Ensure living spaces are safe, comfortable, and sanitary

  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift

  • Physically demanding role; must be able to assist with the movement and support of a client
  • Weight handling: between 81 and 100 kg (177–220 lbs), typically through assisted transfers and safe body mechanics
  • Ability to work safely and carefully to protect both the client and yourself from injury

  • CPR Certificate
