Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain cleanliness
• Dust furniture and surfaces throughout guest rooms and common areas
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets to hotel standards
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries to guest rooms
• Stock linen closets and housekeeping carts
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items promptly
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as required
• Replenish guest amenities including soap, shampoo, and other toiletries
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Report any maintenance issues or damage to management
• Ensure all guest rooms meet cleanliness and quality standards
• Organize and maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times
• Assist with laundry duties as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and public areas
• Respond to guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy
• Support overall hotel operations as required

Own Tools and Equipment (Recommended)

• Non-slip work shoes or comfortable footwear
• Comfortable work attire suitable for physical activity

Security and Safety Requirements

• Criminal record check may be required
• References may be required
• Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) an asset
• Commitment to workplace safety
