Job Overview
Stonebridge Hotel is seeking an experienced and driven Accommodation Services Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure outstanding guest satisfaction at our Fort McMurray property. In this key leadership role, you will manage front-of-house and related accommodation services, supervise staff, control budgets, and implement policies that support a consistently high standard of service. You will work closely with ownership and other department heads to optimize efficiency, maintain quality, and create a welcoming environment for business and leisure guests. This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a solid background in hotel operations, and the desire to build a long-term management career in Canada.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or a related field)
Experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in hotel management, front office management, accommodation services, or a closely related supervisory role
- Experience in a hotel, motel, or resort environment is a strong asset
- Experience managing teams, budgets, and guest service standards required
Work Setting
- Hotel, motel, resort environment (Stonebridge Hotel, Fort McMurray, AB)
- On-site operational role, working closely with front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments
- Full-time schedule, which may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on hotel business needs
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily accommodation operations (front desk, housekeeping coordination, guest services)
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard staff for accommodation-related positions (front desk agents, guest services associates, etc.)
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff performance, providing training and support to maintain high service standards
- Prepare work schedules and staff rotations to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts and peak periods
- Monitor and manage guest service standards, ensuring a consistently positive and professional guest experience
- Assist clients/guests with special needs, including accessible room requirements, special requests, and unique service needs
- Handle and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and diplomatically, turning problems into opportunities to enhance satisfaction
- Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies, including linens, amenities, cleaning products, and operational equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory of linens, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, office materials, and other operational items
- Prepare and manage budgets; monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial targets are met
- Review financial reports and key performance indicators (e.g., occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction scores) and recommend improvements
- Manage and support events hosted at the hotel (e.g., meetings, small conferences, group bookings), coordinating with other departments as needed
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and accommodation regulations, as well as internal policies and brand standards
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and properly maintained
- Oversee implementation and proper use of hotel systems (property management system, reservation tools) and reporting processes
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic planning and operational decision-making
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests, staff, suppliers, and local partners
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Work under pressure during peak periods and when addressing urgent guest or operational issues
- High attention to detail in reviewing reports, managing inventory, and monitoring service quality
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the hotel during a typical shift
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Occasional requirement to assist with physical tasks such as moving supplies or equipment

Additional Assets (Not Mandatory but Preferred)
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and basic reporting tools
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience in event coordination or group bookings
- Knowledge of local market conditions in Fort McMurray or similar markets is an asset
