Job Overview
NWO LAUNDRY CO. is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily office operations of our busy laundry and services business in Fort Frances. You will be the central point of contact for customers, staff, and suppliers—handling calls and emails, coordinating information between departments, organizing office routines, and helping management stay on top of day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, communicating with people, and keeping things organized, and who wants a stable, full-time administrative position with room to grow.

Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or
- Equivalent education and/or experience
Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role
- Experience in a small business, service, or retail environment is an asset
- Basic familiarity with office software (email, word processing, spreadsheets) is expected
Work Setting
- Office within a commercial laundry/services facility in Fort Frances, ON
- Direct interaction with walk-in customers, phone callers, and internal staff
- Supportive team environment with close contact with management and operations staff
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Coordinate the flow of information within the team, ensuring messages, documents, and instructions reach the right people on time
- Evaluate daily operations from an administrative standpoint and flag issues or bottlenecks to management (e.g., missing information, delays, recurring customer questions)
- Determine and establish office procedures and routines, including filing systems, forms, call handling, and standard responses
- Answer telephone calls, screen inquiries, relay messages accurately, and redirect calls to the appropriate person or department
- Answer electronic enquiries (email, online forms, messaging platforms) clearly and professionally, within set response times
- Greet customers, drivers, and visitors in person; direct them to the correct contact or service area
- Order office supplies (stationery, printer supplies, basic consumables) and maintain inventory levels so the office is always adequately stocked
- Help track and order other basic operational supplies as directed by management
- Perform data entry accurately for customer orders, invoices, schedules, or internal records using company systems or spreadsheets
- Maintain and update contact lists, client records, and basic operational logs as required
- Provide customer service by answering questions about services, prices, timelines, and basic procedures
- Assist with preparing simple documents such as letters, emails, forms, and basic reports for management
- Support management in organizing schedules, appointments, and reminders as needed
- Help ensure reception and office areas are tidy, professional, and presentable at all times
- Respect confidentiality of customer data, financial information, and internal communications

- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, phone calls, and walk-in customers
- Work under pressure at times, particularly during peak periods or when handling multiple urgent tasks
