Responsibilities

• Hand harvest apples carefully to ensure fruit quality
• Apply the technique of hoeing between the rows
• Hand harvest vegetables as needed
• Climb ladders safely to pick apples at various heights
• Handle fruit gently to prevent bruising and damage
• Sort and grade apples according to quality standards
• Place harvested apples carefully into bins and containers
• Transport filled containers to designated collection areas
• Identify and report any signs of pest damage or disease
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the orchard
• Follow organic farming practices and protocols
• Assist with general orchard maintenance tasks
• Work collaboratively with harvest team members
• Meet daily picking targets and quality standards
• Follow all safety guidelines when working at heights
• Assist with loading and unloading as required
• Support other farm operations during non-harvest periods

Own Tools and Equipment Required

• Work gloves (protective and grip-enhancing)
• Steel-toed safety boots
