Job Description

This role is crucial in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents, fostering warmth and human connection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of residents’ rooms, offices, and common areas, including furniture, closets, windows, walls, floors, shower and tub rooms, washrooms, reception area, break rooms, and more.
• Sanitization and Maintenance: Perform routine, deep, terminal, and discharge cleaning, floor cleaning and maintenance, and waste management according to established schedules.
• Infection Control: Ensure a clean, safe environment for residents by following infection control principles.
• Equipment Check: Verify that housekeeping supplies are adequate and that equipment is in proper working order before starting daily tasks.
• Team Collaboration: Carry out duties in a positive and professional manner within a multidisciplinary team.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Must-Haves:
Education: Secondary school graduate or equivalent.
Knowledge: Understanding of infection control, cleaning practices, housekeeping operations, and equipment.
Skills: Good interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Security Check: Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Bonus Points for:
Previous experience in institutional cleaning or laundry, particularly in long-term care settings.
