Job Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day production and ensure that production process is running smoothly and efficiently. The role of Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of production workers, monitoring output, and ensuring that products meet our food safety and food quality standards. Production Supervisor assigning specific tasks to individual employees, providing them with training as needed, and ensuring that they are performing their jobs safely and effectively. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure all standard operating and sanitation procedures are followed in the production activities.
• Supervise everyday production schedules and assist in resolving all issues.
• Monitor production output and quality, making necessary adjustments to the process and equipment as needed.
• Supervise and perform equipment assembling, disassembling, and cleaning.
• Assigning specific tasks to individual employees and ensuring that they are performing their jobs safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all food safety and food quality standards are met.
• Conduct daily production planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and left over material quantities.
• Schedule and assign employee shifts, monitor employees time and attendance.
• Provide hands on experience in day-to-day operations.
• Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies (employee training, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolution of problems).
  Maintain a safe and clean work environment by enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
• Reports on production levels, employee performance, and other relevant data to upper management
  Other Ad Hoc Duties as required to ensure the business runs smoothly.

• Lead in a way that encourages direct reports to model leadership behaviors.
• Develop team and a strong succession talent pipeline.
• Facilitate and promote achievement of Company objectives in terms of cleaning quality and food safety.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Previous supervisory/ management experience experience in a food processing facility.
• Must be computer literate (MS Office).
• Ability to work in a refrigerated, cold refrigerated climate.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP plant experience is an asset.
