Valley Prime Caregivers is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Continuing Care Assistants. This is a fulfilling opportunity to provide essential support to patients and residents in a variety of healthcare settings while working in a professional and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
- Provide personal care and assist with hygiene-related tasks.
- Supply and empty bedpans.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Serve meal trays and assist in feeding patients.
- Lift, weigh, turn, and position patients safely.
- Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments.
- Maintain patient rooms by making beds and ensuring cleanliness.
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients.
- Transport patients between facilities or within the care setting using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Answer call signals and attend to patients’ needs promptly.
- Collect medical specimens as required.
- Administer first aid in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Languages: English.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
Work Setting
