Language Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Material Handling and Transportation:
• Load, unload, and transport construction materials to work areas
• Move supplies, tools, and equipment throughout job sites
• Deliver materials to tradespeople as needed
• Organize materials for efficient workflow
• Handle lumber, drywall, electrical supplies, and various construction materials
• Operate hand trucks, dollies, and basic material handling equipment
• Stack and store materials properly to prevent damage
Construction Support:
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
• Support carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades
• Help with structural work under supervision of tradespeople
• Hold materials in place during installation
• Measure and cut materials as directed
• Assist with installation of electrical components and systems
• Provide hands-on support for various construction tasks
Concrete and Paving Work:
• Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist with foundation and concrete work
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Pave and rake asphalt during paving projects
• Prepare surfaces for concrete or asphalt application
• Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools
• Support masonry and concrete operations
Pipeline and Utility Work:
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
• Support installation of electrical conduit and utilities
• Help excavate trenches for utilities
• Position pipes and materials for installation
• Backfill and compact earth around installed utilities
Demolition and Site Cleanup:
• Assist in demolishing buildings and structures
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or disposal
• Break down and remove old structures safely
• Separate waste materials for proper disposal and recycling
• Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free work sites
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants following safety protocols
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
• Operate basic power tools under supervision
• Perform routine maintenance work on tools and equipment
• Keep tools and equipment clean and in good condition
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
• Set up and break down scaffolding and work platforms
Safety and Traffic Control:
• Direct traffic at or near construction sites
• Set up traffic cones, signs, and barriers
• Ensure safety of workers and public around construction areas
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times
• Participate in safety meetings and training
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
• Highly physically demanding construction labor
• Handling heavy loads up to 50+ lbs regularly
• Work under pressure to meet project deadlines
• Repetitive tasks including lifting, carrying, digging, and material handling
• High attention to detail for quality work and safety
• Standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling throughout shifts
• Climbing ladders and working at heights
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions year-round
• Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and construction site elements
• Early morning starts and varying shift times
• Fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous tasks
• Tolerance for physically challenging work
Required Personal Tools and Equipment
Candidates must provide:
• Steel-toed safety boots (mandatory)
