Holt Executive is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer with expertise in space, aerospace, or related technical industries. As part of a collaborative and skilled analysis team, you’ll play a critical role in structural analysis, design support, and project development. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and global suppliers, guiding the design and testing of spacecraft to achieve mission objectives.
Responsibilities
- Perform stress and structural analysis at spacecraft, subsystem, and equipment levels.
- Assess analysis and test data to support spacecraft and ground structure qualification.
- Ensure the structural integrity of prototype and flight components under varied loads.
- Develop test predictions and support static and dynamic testing initiatives.
- Offer design recommendations and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare and present analysis findings to stakeholders.
- Document analysis processes with clarity and thoroughness.
- Peer-review work within the team to maintain high standards.
- Deliver projects within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.
Essential Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in stress and structural analysis within the space industry.
- Expertise in structural calculations for metallics, sandwich panels, inserts, and bolted joints.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining Finite Element Models (FEM).
- Skilled in static, frequency response, random vibration, and shock analysis.
- Experience with FEA software (e.g., NASTRAN, Hyperworks, Abaqus, Ansys).
- Ability to process large datasets with automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python).
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Confidently present and justify technical findings to stakeholders.
- Behaviors reflecting values such as transparency, innovation, and customer focus.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with ECSS and NASA standards.
- Understanding of spacecraft product development lifecycles.
- Proactive and self-starting approach.
- Sound engineering judgment with a focus on project deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
