Job Title: Labourer
Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $22.60/Hour

Forbes Bros Ltd. is looking for multiple Labourer’s (full-time, permanent) for projects within the northern Saskatchewan region.

This position will be joining our growing team based out of the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Our growth in the Prince Albert region spans from Spiritwood, Shellbrook, Melford, and more!

The Labourer’s (full-time, permanent) will support crews with assigned site tasks and jobs to ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, ability to adapt to changing working conditions and prioritize safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
  • Digging and backfilling trenches
  • Pulling and placing underground and overhead cable
  • Carry and move materials as needed
  • Operating small equipment and hand tools
  • Spotting for vehicles and equipment
  • Site setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and potential dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
  • Assisting craft / crew members with work as required
  • Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks
  • Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

What Are We Looking For :

  • General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction and maintenance methods and procedures, is required
  • Valid class 5 Drivers license, is required
  • Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards with crew members
  • Able and willing to work in field / site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote / site work schedules
  • to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
  • Able and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract upon employment
  • As per client requirements, candidates may be required and willing to undergo pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing
