Responsibilities

• Supervise planned and ad hoc maintenance of airport grounds, including grass cutting, line painting, snow clearing, and ice control.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage employee leave.
• Facilitate operational and regulatory training for staff.
• Lead winter operations, including snow clearing.
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, plow trucks, and hydraulic snow blowers when necessary.
• Monitor and contribute to the surface maintenance budget.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications:

• Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (e.g., satisfactory Public Service
• Commission test results or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience).
• Experience in supervising staff.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders, plow trucks, or hydraulic snow blowers.

Salary and Benefits

• Base Wage: $30.99 per hour.
• Environment Allowance (Wabush, NL):Employee with dependents: $7,055 annually ($3.38 hourly).
• Employee without dependents: $4,233 annually ($2.03 hourly).
• Living Cost Differential (Wabush, NL):Employee with dependents: $8,627 annually ($4.13 hourly).
• Employee without dependents: $5,176 annually ($2.48 hourly).
• 3 weeks of vacation leave with pay after 6 months of continuous employment.
• Pension regime, Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP), and Public Service Dental Care Plan (PSDCP).
