📋 Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the 2024 German Government DAAD Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Work for a public authority, state, or private company in a developing country, engaged in planning and executing development policies in technological, economic, or social areas.
  2. Hold a Bachelor’s degree (normally four years) in a related subject.
  3. Have completed an academic degree with excellent results (upper third) and at least two years of professional experience in a related field post-Bachelor’s.
  4. Have obtained their last academic degree no more than six years prior.
  5. Not have resided in Germany for longer than 15 months by the application deadline.

  • Monthly payments of 934 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates

  3. Curriculum vitae in reverse chronological order (use the Europass template)
  4. One Letter of Motivation detailing academic, professional, and personal reasons for applying
  5. Certificate(s) of Employment showing at least two years of relevant work experience post-Bachelor’s
  6. Proof of Language Skills:
    • English: IELTS or TOEFL (institutional TOEFL not accepted)
    • German: Required for courses taught in German
  7. Copies of higher education degree certificates
  8. Full set of transcript of records
  9. APS Certificate for applicants from the People’s Republic of China
