Responsibilities

• Supply and empty bedpans.
• Monitor patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding.
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients.
• Make beds and maintain cleanliness in patients’ rooms.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming of patients.
• Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Collect specimens for medical analysis.
• Administer first aid during emergencies.
• Provide personal care and companionship.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Administer bedside and personal care.
• Assist with feeding and hygiene routines.

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a 1 to 2-year program.
• Experience: Experience an asset

Work Setting:

• Nursing home/home for the aged
• Staff accommodation available
• Willing to relocate

Credentials:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
