Responsibilities
- Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
- Develop and implement programs promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Engage children through storytelling, art, music, and physical activity.
- Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
- Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Observe children for signs of learning or behavioral challenges and prepare reports.
- Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
- Plan and maintain a safe and secure environment for children.
- Organize activities for school-age children before and after school hours.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: College, CEGEP, or diploma program (1-2 years)
- Experience: Experience an asset
