Job Overview
Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, is seeking Line Operators to join our York confectionery factory. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on the production of iconic products like KitKat, Aero, Yorkie bars, and Polo Mints. You will play a key role in ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a fixed-term contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experience levels, as full training will be provided.
Position Summary
As a Line Operator, you will:
- Operate production and packing machines.
- Monitor and maintain product quality.
- Support the production team to meet performance and safety standards.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Nestlé offers 12-hour shifts (24 hours per week), including days, nights, and weekends, with optional overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate production lines.
- Minimise downtime by addressing minor repairs and breakdowns.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and food hygiene.
- Take ownership of the production line, even in the absence of a Line Leader.
- Motivate and collaborate with team members to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
