Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in supervisory or cleaning management role (additional experience an asset)

Responsibilities
- Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cleaning and sanitation workers
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met
- Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning operations
- Coordinate work activities with other departments including production and quality assurance
- Establish work schedules for cleaning team members
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Order and manage cleaning products and materials
- Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or concerns
- Monitor and enforce workplace health and safety regulations
- Prepare reports on cleaning activities and team performance
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for sanitation processes
- Collaborate with quality assurance on food safety audits
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
- Respond to sanitation emergencies and urgent cleaning needs
- Foster a positive and productive team environment
- Maintain documentation and records for regulatory compliance
Credentials (Preferred)
- Food safety certification (HACCP, SQF, or equivalent)
- WHMIS certification
- Supervisory or management training
- First Aid and CPR certification (an asset)
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

- Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
- Adherence to workplace health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals
