Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and create personalized care plans for new clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and families to ensure satisfaction with services.
- Supervise and support caregiving staff, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
- Coordinate with medical professionals, therapists, and other service providers for comprehensive care.
- Monitor the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage client records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Provide emotional support to caregivers, clients, and families.
- Participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating caregivers.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and client-centered care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior care role.
- Strong knowledge of senior care practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with WellSky client management software is an asset.
Requirements
- Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Recent negative TB test (within the past 90 days).
- Negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the past 90 days).
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred).
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
