Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Childcare:
• Supervise and care for children throughout the day ensuring safety and well-being
• Provide attentive, loving care meeting all children’s needs
• Monitor children’s activities and ensure safety at all times
• Respond promptly to children’s needs with patience and understanding
• Tend to emotional well-being of children with empathy and care
• Create warm, nurturing atmosphere promoting healthy development

Household Responsibility:
• Assume full responsibility for household operations in absence of parents
• Manage daily household routines and children’s schedules

• Handle emergencies calmly and appropriately
• Communicate with parents about household matters
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties

Child Development and Education:
• Instruct children in personal hygiene practices and self-care skills
• Support children’s social development through positive interactions
• Help children with homework and school assignments
• Organize age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and outings
• Plan educational and recreational activities
• Encourage learning through play and creative exploration
• Read to children and promote literacy development

• Support children’s emotional intelligence and social skills

Discipline and Guidance:
• Discipline children according to methods requested by parents
• Implement consistent, positive behavior management strategies
• Set and enforce appropriate boundaries with kindness and firmness
• Teach children respect, responsibility, and good manners
• Address behavioral issues calmly and constructively
• Communicate with parents about behavioral concerns and progress
• Model positive behavior and emotional regulation

Nutrition and Meal Services:
• Prepare and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals for children
• Cook healthy, appetizing meals that children enjoy
• Plan menus considering dietary preferences and restrictions
• Accommodate any food allergies or special dietary needs
• Teach children healthy eating habits
• Maintain clean kitchen and dining areas
• Shop for food and household supplies as needed

Transportation and Activities:
• Take children to and from school reliably and safely
• Transport children to appointments, activities, and playdates

• Coordinate schedules and manage time effectively

Household Management:
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens

• Manage household tasks while supervising children

Record Keeping and Communication:
• Keep accurate records of daily activities and children’s routines
• Document health information regarding children
• Maintain records of developmental milestones and achievements
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s day
• Report concerns, achievements, or important observations
• Provide detailed updates on children’s well-being and progress

Safety and Environment:
• Maintain safe and healthy environment in the home at all times
