Job Overview
Vasanti Winery Ltd. is hiring a Farm Supervisor to coordinate daily vineyard operations in the rural Oliver, British Columbia area. This role is ideal for an experienced field leader who can plan seasonal priorities, supervise a small crew, maintain quality and production records, and ensure safe, efficient work across all vineyard activities. You will oversee tasks that support vine health and grape quality, including deleafing, grooming, field clearing, training vines for improved yield, and managing key growing conditions such as water saturation, light, and temperature. Staff accommodation is provided, and relocation costs are covered by the employer for candidates willing to relocate.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

• 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience in vineyards, orchards, tree/fruit farming, or crop operations, including leadership or lead-hand duties

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Develop specific plans to prioritize daily and seasonal vineyard work and ensure targets are met
• Consider water saturation, light, and temperature when planning for crop growth and development
• Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Hire and train staff, including onboarding, task instruction, and safe work practices
• Direct agricultural crop deleafing activities to improve airflow, fruit exposure, and quality
• Direct farm grooming activities, including row maintenance and vine area cleanup
• Train trees/vines to produce more fruit of higher quality, following vineyard methods and timing
• Oversee clearing of fields and work areas to maintain safe, organized operations
• Mix fertilizer and support correct application timing and material handling procedures
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as required; organize basic checks and report issues promptly
• Maintain financial and production records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Maintain quality control and production records and track work completed and outputs
• Maintain work records and logs, including labour allocation and daily progress notes
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed consistently
• Perform general farm duties and provide hands-on support during peak workload periods

• Strong attention to detail required for crop timing, quality standards, and accurate records
