Job Overview
Jura Farms Inc. is hiring a dependable Farm Worker (Harvesting) to support hay and grain farming operations in Souris, Manitoba. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on crop experience who can work safely in a rural setting, operate and maintain farm machinery, and support planting through harvest activities. You will assist with cultivating and irrigating, fertilizing and spraying, harvesting crops, and completing general farm duties while following farm safety and bio-security procedures. Experience

• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant farm or harvesting experience (crop work, equipment operation, irrigation, spraying, haying, or similar)

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops according to farm schedules and crop needs
• Fertilize and spray crops following instructions and safe handling procedures
• Harvest crops efficiently while maintaining crop quality and minimizing losses
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including haying equipment
• Perform general farm duties such as field preparation, cleanup, basic repairs, and yard organization
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, including proper hygiene, controlled movement between areas, and safe equipment operation
• Conduct routine checks and report mechanical issues, safety hazards, or unusual crop conditions to the supervisor promptly
• Support seasonal workload changes and assist with additional tasks during peak periods

• Ability to follow instructions, maintain steady productivity, and work safely around machinery
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak planting and harvest windows when required
