Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to resort standards
• Dust furniture and surfaces throughout guest rooms and public areas
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets to luxury hospitality standards
• Distribute clean towels and premium toiletries to guest rooms
• Stock linen closets and housekeeping carts efficiently
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Disinfect operating rooms and other specialized areas
• Clean and disinfect elevators and high-touch surfaces
• Handle and report lost and found items according to protocol
• Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items promptly
• Provide basic information on resort facilities and amenities
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the property
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as required
• Clean changing rooms and showers in recreational facilities
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns with professionalism
• Replenish guest amenities and minibar items
• Report any maintenance issues or damage to management
• Ensure all guest rooms meet Cabot Cape Breton quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and public spaces
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times
• Support turndown service and special guest requests
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned

Own Tools and Equipment (Recommended)

• Non-slip, comfortable work shoes
• Professional work attire suitable for hospitality environment

Security and Safety Requirements

• Criminal record check may be required

• Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene standards
• Knowledge of WHMIS (an asset)
