Job Overview
Houssmax Realty Marketing Ltd. is seeking an experienced and creative Web Site Designer to lead the design and evolution of client-facing websites and digital experiences in the real estate and property marketing space. You will work closely with internal teams and external clients to transform requirements into modern, responsive web interfaces that showcase listings, branding, and multimedia content. This role is ideal for a senior-level designer who combines strong UX/UI skills with hands-on front-end experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects, and wants to play a key role in shaping digital products for a growing marketing company.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a closely related field
Experience
- 5 years or more of professional experience in web design, UX/UI design, or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience taking websites from requirements through wireframes, mock-ups, build support, and launch
- Experience in real estate, marketing, or creative agency environments is an asset
Work Setting
- Office-based role at Houssmax Realty Marketing Ltd. in Markham, ON
- Collaboration with internal marketing, development, sales, and project management teams
- Direct interaction with external clients (realtors, brokerages, property developers) to refine requirements and present design solutions
- Possibility of hybrid/remote work arrangements at employer’s discretion (to be discussed during the hiring process)
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Consult with internal stakeholders and external clients to develop and document website requirements, including business objectives, target audiences, content needs, and technical constraints
- Prepare wireframes, mock-ups, and storyboards that clearly communicate information architecture, layout, navigation, and user flows
- Source, select, and organize information, imagery, and multimedia for inclusion on websites, ensuring alignment with client branding and messaging
- Design the appearance, layout, and flow of responsive websites, optimizing for usability, aesthetics, and conversion goals (e.g., lead generation, contact forms, listing views)
- Create and optimize web content using a variety of tools, including graphics software, content management systems, and front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript)
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design concepts are implemented accurately and efficiently, providing design assets, specifications, and guidance as required
- Research and evaluate a variety of interactive media software products, frameworks, and design tools to recommend improvements and new capabilities
- Conduct usability checks, cross-browser and cross-device tests, and perform security and quality controls from a front-end/design perspective
- Optimize web pages and assets for performance, including image optimization and efficient use of fonts and media
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and reusable components for consistent branding across multiple sites and campaigns
- Ensure websites comply with accessibility guidelines (e.g., colour contrast, alt text, navigability) and best practices, where applicable
- Prepare documentation, design rationales, and presentations for clients and internal teams, explaining design decisions and alternatives
- Stay current on web design trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to digital marketing and real estate
Experience and Specialization (Assets)
- Strong proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for graphic creation and optimization
- Comfort working with content management systems (e.g., WordPress or other CMS platforms)
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches
- Familiarity with basic SEO considerations in design (e.g., heading structure, page speed impacts, image tags)
- Knowledge of basic front-end coding (HTML5, CSS3, and light JavaScript) sufficient to collaborate effectively with developers

- High attention to detail required for pixel-perfect layouts, typography, spacing, and content accuracy
