Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Change diapers and support toilet training as needed
  • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas according to instructions
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Supervise and care for children at all times during working hours
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development (e.g., handwashing, manners, sharing)
  • Help children with homework and school-related tasks
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and age-appropriate play
  • Organize simple activities that promote learning and creativity (games, reading, crafts, walks, etc.)
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the children (tidy play areas, clean up after meals, etc.)
  • Shop for food and household supplies as requested by the employer
  • Launder clothing and household linens; mend clothing and linens when needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home, following household routines and rules set by parents
  • Communicate regularly with parents about children’s daily activities, routines, and any concerns

  • Criminal record check required (including vulnerable sector check, if requested)
  • References may be requested and verified

  • Active role that involves standing, walking, lifting, and carrying young children
  • Ability to maintain focus and energy while engaging with children throughout the day
