Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Hamilton, Ontario
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to interview us. Our good fit will have an undeniable passion for patient care and oral surgery, excellent clinical skills and a strong sense of self-awareness.

Previous experience in dentistry / oral surgery is valued but not required. Consider this your opportunity to join a dedicated, ultra-collaborative team and a cutting-edge clinic within the fast-growing community of Waterdown.

Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrate proficiency in advanced airway management
  • Insert intravenous (IV) catheters and provide related care
  • Facilitate intra-operative medication administration
  • Close surveillance and assessment of patient condition during pre-, intra- and post-operative phases of surgical procedures
  • Assume active and communicative team role during medical emergency scenarios
  • Provide patient education regarding procedure- and health-related inquiries and address specific patient questions
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and other relevant guidelines and protocols
  • Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Qualifications :

  • Valid RN license in Ontario and current CPR certification (Valid ACLS certification will be required by work start date)
  • Active, valid membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in peri-operative setting (i.e., hospital OR, procedure room(s) and / or private procedural clinic, including dentistry)
  • Proficiency in sedation monitoring and medication is required
  • Intravenous catheter insertion and related skills highly regarded
  • Active team participant in group scenarios
  • Professional communicator among work teammates and towards patients
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and triage tasks efficiently
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
