Job Title: Long-Term Care Aide (Special Care Worker)

Wage: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Terms of Employment: Casual employment, Part-time leading to full-time
Shift/Schedule: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call
Balsam is seeking compassionate and dedicated Long-Term Care Aides (Special Care Workers) to provide high-quality care and support to residents. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and committed to ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to patient care and comfort
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
- Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding
- Make beds and maintain cleanliness in patients’ rooms
- Assist clients/guests with special needs
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: Experience an asset
Credentials:
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safety Certificate
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate

Education and Certification Requirements
- Completion of a secondary school diploma
- Certification in First Aid, Food Safety, and Non-violent Crisis Intervention
- Additional training in healthcare or personal support work is an asset
