Balsam is seeking compassionate and dedicated Long-Term Care Aides (Special Care Workers) to provide high-quality care and support to residents. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and committed to ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
  • Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding
  • Make beds and maintain cleanliness in patients’ rooms
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents

Requirements

  • Languages: English
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset

Credentials:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
