Perma-Pipe Canada, Ltd. is a dynamic, global supplier of pipe coating solutions and factory pre-insulated piping systems to the oil & gas, district heating and cooling and industrial markets. Our Vars, Ontario Manufacturing Facility is now recruiting an experienced Production Foreman/woman to support our growing business.
The Production Foreman/woman is responsible for the direction and leadership of production staff and production process. The incumbent must effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the operational team to meet production targets and technical productivity.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints and grievances
- Promote PPCA safety management system and zero injury culture
- Direct the foam application process
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the insulation process, e.g. inspectors, labourers, etc.
- Provide motivation for employees, increasing morale
- Monitor and assess employee performance
- Ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion
- Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records / reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and output.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Production experience preferred
- Direct working knowledge of operations
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items
- Strong knowledge of […] software systems, as well as Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Understand the proper operating procedures of the spray foam insulation application equipment.
