Q’wemtsin Health Society is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join their team in Kamloops, BC. Responsibilities

• Engage in community program development.
• Monitor patients and notify physicians of changes in condition.
• Participate in community needs assessments.
• Document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assess patients to determine appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct disease screening and deliver health education programs.
• Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage home care cases and operate medical apparatus or equipment.
• Provide nursing care, supportive counselling, and life skills programming.
• Facilitate the grieving process for patients and families.
• Perform administrative tasks related to patient care.

Requirements

• Language: English
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Credentials

• CPR Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
