Your Role as a Registered Nurse
Lead nursing excellence in our long-term care facility, providing comprehensive care to residents while supervising a dedicated healthcare team.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:

• Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
• Monitor and document symptoms and changes in conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term residents
• Address urgent health needs with professional expertise

Healthcare Collaboration:

• Work with interdisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate care
• Consult with patients and families on care decisions
• Assist practitioners during examinations and treatments
• Advise physicians of changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate on comprehensive care plans

Leadership & Administration:

• Supervise 11-15 licensed practical nurses and support staff
• Perform administrative duties and maintain records
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards
• Mentor and guide junior nursing staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Health Promotion:

• Deliver health education programs
• Conduct disease screening initiatives
• Implement immunization programs
• Promote wellness and preventive care
• Support residents’ quality of life goals

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Registered Nurse
• Licensing: Current RN license (or eligibility) with CNO (College of Nurses of Ontario)
• Language: English proficiency for patient care
• Availability: Flexibility for rotating shifts

Required Certifications:

• Provincial/Territorial RN License (or eligibility)
• CPR Certificate (current)
• First Aid Certificate
• Clear vulnerable sector check
• TB test and immunization records
