Job Duties of a Health Care Aide

Provide direct care to residents based on individualized care plans.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
Support mobility and ambulation, including transferring and positioning residents.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered
Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
Assist with meal preparation and therapeutic diets.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Utilize proper infection control practices.
Document care activities accurately in the resident’s record.
