We are looking for an Steel production worker to join our Warehouse team! This role will support our warehouse, sales and purchasing operations. By being the main check point for all deliveries, customer pick up and logistic functions, you will have the opportunity to streamline process and ensure accuracy and efficiency!

Opportunities

In this role, you will interact with sales and warehouse employees. To be successful in this position, you will need to be comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment and juggling multiple priorities to meet deadlines. You will utilize your time management skills to ensure orders are picked and paperwork flow is managed effectively. There will be opportunities to learn new skills, cross train in other departments, and gain valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the loading and unloading of steel and other materials from trucks and trailers.
• Cut, bend, strap and palletize steel according to instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge & skills

• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent English language skills required.
• You have a good understanding warehouse operations
• You have the aptitude to work with machinery
• You have the ability to take instruction and work with minimal supervision
• Steel toe work boots are required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or similar environment is a plus but not required.
• You are able to lift 30lbs continuously and 50lbs occasionally
• You possess well-paced mobility as job requires long periods of standing , sitting and walking
• Basic understanding of rebar and steel products is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• You have 1+ years’ experience working in a warehouse
• Forklift experience an asset
• First aid certificate is an asset
• Steel toed work boots are required

• May on occasion work outside of standard office hours at various times, as the job requires
