Your Role at Norwood
As a Male Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting individuals in daily activities and encouraging personal growth through hobbies and interests.
  • Accompanying individuals to appointments and community outings.
  • Teaching essential life skills such as budgeting, shopping, and bill management.
  • Providing personal care and administering medication (if required).
  • Assisting with household tasks, including cleaning and cooking.
  • Participating in hydrotherapy sessions alongside the Physical Activity Practitioner.
  • Driving the home car to transport residents to appointments and activities.

Personal Suitabilities
We’re looking for individuals with:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and lots of energy.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships.

Essential Requirements:

  • A clean UK driving license held for at least 2 years.

Education and Certification
No formal qualifications required to start, but NVQ Levels 2-5 in Health & Social Care are highly desirable (training provided).
