Woodhouse Pharmacy is a well-established community pharmacy in North London, renowned for providing personalised care and exceptional service. We are committed to helping our customers manage their health effectively, offering expert advice and reliable solutions for their healthcare needs. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 6 pm, and Saturday, 9 am – 1 pm.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescribed medications while ensuring patient understanding of usage instructions.
• Offer professional advice on over-the-counter products, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of essential supplies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Handle customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and manage patient records with confidentiality.
• Ensure strict adherence to pharmacy regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Preferred but not essential: Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, prescription handling, and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, focusing on patient care and customer service.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software, such as Proscript, is an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Strong understanding of prescription medications and pharmaceutical processes.
• Customer service excellence with empathy and problem-solving skills.
• Basic IT skills for managing records and handling pharmacy software.

Education and Certification
To become a Pharmacy Dispenser in the UK, a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills or an equivalent qualification is generally required. Training is often supported by the employer for candidates with relevant experience or strong potential.
