Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting
• Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Perform general farm duties as required
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to farm workers
• Train new employees on farm procedures and safety protocols
• Monitor crop health and identify pest or disease issues
• Coordinate harvesting activities to ensure timely and efficient picking
• Manage work schedules and labour requirements
• Ensure proper handling and storage of harvested blueberries
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities and production data
• Communicate with farm owners regarding operations and concerns
• Oversee irrigation and fertilization programs
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and standards
• Manage inventory of farm supplies and equipment
• Support continuous improvement of farming practices
