Job Overview
R. N. Apex Solutions Ltd is seeking professional, safety-focused Truck Drivers to operate tractor-trailers out of Debert, Nova Scotia. You will haul freight on provincial, national, and long-haul routes, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of goods and materials.   • Valid Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A)
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Clean or acceptable driver’s abstract (driving record check required)

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks (primarily tractor-trailers) to transport goods and materials over provincial, national, and long-haul routes
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle condition and operation
  • Inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage (if applicable), and other equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly
  • Tarp and secure loads as required, ensuring the safety and security of cargo at all times
  • Receive and relay information to and from central dispatch, providing accurate status updates, ETAs, and any issues encountered on route
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption using logbooks or electronic logging devices, as per regulations and company policy
  • Adhere to all provincial and federal transportation regulations, including hours-of-service, load limits, and safety rules
  • Safely maneuver trucks in varied conditions (highways, urban areas, yards, and loading docks) and in all weather conditions
  • Communicate professionally with customers, shippers, and receivers when picking up and delivering freight
  • Follow company policies regarding fuel, routing, communication, and incident reporting
