Job Overview
Saini Logistic Solutions Inc is seeking a motivated and organized Truck Drivers Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities of our professional driver team. This role is ideal for someone with trucking industry experience who is ready to step into (or grow in) a leadership position. You will coordinate routes and schedules, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, support drivers with operational issues, and help keep equipment and materials organized and available. In a busy logistics environment, your decisions will directly impact on-time deliveries, driver satisfaction, and customer service. - College/CEGEP diploma, or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience (e.g., dispatch, trucking operations, lead hand, or senior driver)
- Previous hands-on experience in the trucking or transportation industry is a strong asset
Work Setting
- Supervision of truck drivers and operational staff in a trucking/logistics environment
- Office and yard setting with regular interaction with drivers, dispatch, and management
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Train or arrange for training of new and existing truck drivers and support staff on company procedures and safety standards
- Co-ordinate and schedule daily and weekly activities, including driver assignments, routes, pickups, and deliveries
- Ensure health and safety regulations, company policies, and transportation rules are followed at all times
- Co-ordinate repairs, maintenance, and rentals of trucks and equipment, working with service providers and internal staff
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies needed for fleet operations
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and compliance with hours-of-service and company expectations
- Support drivers in resolving on-road issues (delays, breakdowns, routing questions) within defined guidelines
- Communicate operational changes and priorities clearly to drivers and relevant staff
- Assist with maintaining and updating operational records, logs, and reports as needed
- Liaise with management and, when required, with customers regarding schedules and service issues
