Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload goods.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport materials.
• Inspect and oversee vehicle conditions (tires, brakes, lights, cold storage, etc.).
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and brake adjustments.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with central dispatch and maintain logs (cargo information, fuel consumption, distance traveled, etc.).
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).

Documentation Knowledge:

• Accident or incident reports.
• Bill of lading, driver logbook, and trip reports.
• Dangerous goods occurrence reports.

Work Environment & Travel:

• Willingness to travel cross-border and internationally, with extended and overnight trips required.
• Employer covers relocation costs for those willing to relocate.

Work Conditions:

• Physically demanding with handling heavy loads.
• Repetitive tasks and sitting for long periods.
• Overtime required.
