Key Responsibilities
Material Handling and Movement:
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• Operate variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials efficiently
• Transport and distribute materials and goods throughout warehouse
• Move inventory between storage areas, loading docks, and staging zones
• Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (when certified)
• Handle lighting products and materials carefully to prevent damage
• Position materials for easy access and efficient workflow
Receiving and Processing:
• Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers
• Verify incoming products against shipping documents
• Weigh materials and goods accurately
• Inspect received items for damage or discrepancies
• Sort incoming inventory by type, size, or destination
• Process received goods into inventory system
• Report receiving issues or damaged products
Packing and Shipping:
• Pack and unpack goods carefully and efficiently
• Wrap goods to protect during storage and shipping
• Make labels and attach to goods accurately
• Prepare orders for shipment to customers
• Sort, crate, and stack goods according to specifications
• Secure loads properly for safe transportation
• Load outbound shipments onto delivery trucks
• Ensure all shipping documentation is complete
Inventory Management:
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations
• Keep warehouse organized and accessible
• Conduct inventory counts and cycle counts
• Update inventory records accurately
• Rotate stock following FIFO (first-in, first-out) principles
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas
• Ensure proper labeling and location tracking
Warehouse Maintenance:
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Maintain equipment in good working condition
• Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly
• Ensure aisles and pathways remain clear
• Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
• Report hazards or maintenance needs
• Support overall warehouse efficiency and organization
