Job Overview
Rodriguez J S Concrete Inc. is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team and support a variety of commercial and residential projects. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior and exterior finishes, ensuring that every surface is prepared and completed to professional standards. This role is ideal for painters with strong technical skills, good judgement on-site, and pride in detailed, clean work. Work locations may vary and frequent travel between sites is required, offering variety in your day-to-day work.

- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant painting experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)

- Frequent or constant local travel required between job sites (Greater Vancouver and surrounding areas)
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted (walls, ceilings, trim, exterior surfaces, etc.)
- Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections using fillers, caulking, or plaster
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging in a safe and secure manner
- Mask and protect adjacent surfaces, furniture, and fixtures from paint splatter
- Mix and thin paint and other materials to achieve required colour and consistency
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Ensure even coverage, clean lines, and a high-quality final finish on all surfaces
- Follow project specifications, drawings, and instructions from supervisors
- Clean up job sites upon completion and maintain an organized work area
- Inspect completed work for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections
- Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Physically demanding: lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, standing for long periods
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and swing stages
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once instructions are given
