Job Overview
Témisko is hiring a Welder to support manufacturing, custom fabrication, and factory assembly work in Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Québec. This role is ideal for a safety-minded tradesperson who can read and interpret welding drawings, perform accurate fit-up, and produce clean welds that meet required standards. You will operate welding and cutting equipment, use hoisting and lifting equipment safely, and fabricate or repair metal parts using established processes. Experience is an asset, and qualified candidates with strong workmanship and attention to detail are encouraged to apply. This is a permanent, full-time day shift position with excellent benefits, insurance, and pension options, and LMIA sponsorship available for eligible international candidates.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to confirm requirements
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications; correct deficiencies when required
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components to meet alignment and tolerance requirements
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment safely and accurately
- Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air) (AOC) for cutting, gouging, or repair preparation tasks
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move and position components safely
- Maintain an organized work area and follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding progress, materials, and any issues affecting quality or timelines
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Strong manual dexterity required for precision welding and fit-up work
- Standing for extended periods
- Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with noise and production deadlines

- Welding helmet required
