Key Responsibilities

Material Handling and Movement:
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand efficiently
• Operate basic material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Transport and distribute materials and goods throughout the facility
• Store cargo and materials in designated locations according to procedures
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage during movement
• Move heavy items safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment
• Position materials for easy access and efficient workflow
• Ensure materials are stored in appropriate temperature zones

Order Fulfillment and Processing:
• Pick orders accurately according to customer specifications
• Stock products in designated warehouse locations
• Verify order accuracy before processing
• Prepare orders for shipment efficiently
• Meet daily picking and packing productivity targets
• Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) rotation procedures
• Process orders in a timely manner to meet shipping deadlines

Inventory Management:
• Organize and maintain accurate inventory records
• Assist in developing and updating inventories
• Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts
• Report inventory discrepancies to supervisors
• Track product movement and maintain stock levels
• Ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste
• Update inventory management systems accurately
• Monitor stock levels and identify replenishment needs

Quality Control and Inspection:
• Inspect finished and pre-finished products for quality and damage
• Check incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
• Report damaged or defective products immediately
• Ensure products meet quality standards before storage or shipment
• Monitor product temperatures in cold storage areas
• Verify product codes, lot numbers, and expiration dates

Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Make labels and attach to goods accurately
• Maintain accurate records of all material movements
• Complete shipping and receiving documentation
• Record inventory transactions in warehouse management system
• Keep detailed logs of product handling and storage
• Document any issues or discrepancies in writing
• Ensure all paperwork is completed legibly and accurately

Vehicle and Equipment Operations:
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Oversee all aspects of vehicle operation when required
• Conduct daily equipment safety checks
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all vehicle and equipment operating procedures
• Maintain equipment in clean and serviceable condition

Workplace Safety and Maintenance:
• Follow all health and safety protocols at all times
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including cold weather gear
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Report safety hazards immediately to supervisors
• Participate in safety training and meetings
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

• Working in cold and refrigerated environments requiring warm clothing
