Job Overview
Aspen Village Inn is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our hospitality team in the heart of Jasper National Park. As a Housekeeper, you will play a key role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests from around the world. You will clean guest rooms and public areas, respond to guest requests, and help ensure that every visitor enjoys a pleasant and memorable stay. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are willing to relocate, enjoy working in a beautiful mountain setting, and want to build a long-term career in the hotel and tourism industry in Canada. Training is provided, and candidates with a strong work ethic and positive attitude are encouraged to apply.

Work Setting

  • Hotel, motel, resort environment in Jasper National Park
  • Willing to relocate to Parc national de Jasper, AB (remote, tourism-focused mountain community)
  • Fast-paced hospitality setting with guests from Canada and abroad

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors in guest rooms and common areas
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds, change sheets and pillowcases, and ensure bedding is clean and neatly arranged
  • Distribute clean towels, toiletries, and other room supplies to guest rooms
  • Stock and organize linen closets, housekeeping carts, and storage areas
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances in guest rooms and staff areas as required
  • Clean and disinfect elevators and high-touch surfaces in public spaces
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and glass surfaces as needed
  • Clean changing rooms, showers, and other shared guest facilities
  • Pick up debris, empty trash containers, and replace garbage bags in rooms and public areas
  • Launder clothing and household linens (washing, drying, folding) as assigned
  • Mend clothing and linens (buttons, minor repairs) where necessary
  • Handle and report lost and found items according to hotel policy
  • Attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies (towels, pillows, toiletries, blankets) or other items in a prompt and professional manner
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns politely and report any issues to the supervisor or front desk
  • Follow established cleaning checklists and hotel standards for room readiness and cleanliness
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly, following safety data sheets and instructions
  • Report any damaged items, maintenance issues, or safety hazards in rooms or public areas to the appropriate department
  • Work cooperatively with other housekeeping and hotel staff to ensure rooms are cleaned on schedule for check-ins and check-outs

Credentials (Certificates, Licences, Memberships, Courses)

  • Housekeeping room attendant certification is an asset, but not required

  • Handling heavy loads, including laundry bags, supply carts, and some furniture movement
  • Physically demanding role requiring stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift
  • High attention to detail to ensure rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Working in a variety of indoor areas within the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces
