Job Overview
Témisko is hiring a skilled Welder to support our manufacturing operations in Notre-Dame-du-Nord, Québec. This is a long-term opportunity for a safety-focused tradesperson who takes pride in strong, clean welds and accurate fabrication. You will work with aluminum alloys and heavy metals in a production environment, using GMAW and FCAW techniques, as well as cutting, brazing, and torch-straightening methods to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. If you’re organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a noisy industrial setting, we want to hear from you.

Languages: French (required for safety instructions, work orders, and team communication)

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma (welding or related), or equivalent experience

Experience: Experience is an asset (training and onboarding provided for site-specific processes)

Work Setting and Environment

  • Manufacturing/production facility
  • Noisy environment
  • Work may involve hot work, sparks, fumes, and heavy components (PPE required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and work processes
  • Set up and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Perform Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) according to specifications
  • Examine welds and verify they meet standards and/or specifications (visual checks and basic measurements)
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components to required alignment and tolerance
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air/AOC) for cutting and gouging as required
  • Use hoisting and lifting equipment to position parts safely for welding and assembly
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and handle materials responsibly
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including fire prevention, ventilation rules, and safe lifting practices
  • Report defects, equipment issues, and safety concerns promptly to supervision
