Job Overview
Mack Kirk Industries Ltd is hiring a Roofer Helper to support industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects across Langley and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience who is comfortable working outdoors and at heights, and who takes safety seriously. You will assist the roofing and construction crew by handling materials, keeping the job site organized, supporting equipment operation, and completing general labour tasks that help projects run smoothly and on schedule. Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Or equivalent experience

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of relevant construction or material-handling experience
Experience on commercial/industrial sites and familiarity with roofing environments is an asset

At heights
Dangerous environment requiring strict adherence to safety procedures
Dusty conditions

Material handling

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

Load, unload, and transport construction materials safely across job sites
Clean and pile salvaged materials and maintain organized staging areas
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites to keep work areas safe and efficient
Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction as directed by supervisors
Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt when required by the project scope
Pave and rake asphalt as assigned to support surface preparation and site work
Assist crew members with set-up, tear-down, and general site support to keep tasks on schedule
Follow safe lifting techniques and maintain awareness of fall hazards and site traffic
Use hand tools and basic equipment responsibly and report any hazards, damage, or missing materials

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight timelines
Physically demanding work requiring strength, stamina, and safe work habits
Repetitive tasks and manual dexterity required for handling materials and tools
Handling heavy loads, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Ability to work at heights safely and follow fall protection procedures
