Job Overview
Fraser Hothouse Growers Ltd. is hiring a Farm Operation Supervisor to coordinate daily greenhouse operations and lead a team of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. This role is ideal for a hands-on supervisor who can keep crews organized, maintain strong productivity and quality standards, and meet tight timelines during peak harvest and production periods. You will oversee crop-related activities, assign and review work, maintain clear work records, support equipment operation (including forklifts), and ensure greenhouse cleanliness and safe work practices. Spanish is an asset for communication in a diverse workforce. Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Or equivalent experience

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in greenhouse operations, farm supervision, crop production, harvest coordination, or similar roles

Supervision

Supervise and coordinate a team of 11–15 people (may vary by season and production demand)

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Forklift operation experience is an asset (training may be provided based on requirements and eligibility)

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers to meet daily targets
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on schedule
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production and harvest activities
Perform greenhouse cleaning and ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment as required, including coordinating equipment availability and basic checks
Maintain work records and logs, including labour allocation, completed tasks, productivity notes, and operational updates
Support planning and adjustments during high-volume periods to meet tight deadlines
Perform general farm duties as required to support the team and maintain workflow
Promote safe work practices and ensure workers follow procedures, including proper footwear and equipment use
Communicate clearly with management regarding staffing needs, operational issues, and daily priorities

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload
Work under pressure, especially during peak harvest/packing periods
Physically demanding work with extended time on your feet
Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Strong attention to detail required for crop operations, cleanliness, and record keeping

Own Tools/Equipment

Steel-toed safety boots required
