Job Overview
Hayter’s Farm is hiring Poultry Preparers to support high-volume poultry processing operations in Dashwood, Ontario. This role is ideal for dependable, safety-minded individuals who can work efficiently in a cold/refrigerated, noisy production environment while maintaining strict hygiene and quality standards. You will prepare poultry for further processing and packaging by removing feathers, washing and singeing, cutting into specific wholesale cuts, deboning, and performing related preparation tasks. No previous experience is required as training will be provided, making this a strong opportunity for candidates who want permanent, full-time work with excellent benefits and long-term stability in the food manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses according to established procedures and safety standards
• Remove feathers and singe and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging
• Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use
• Remove bones from meat using safe, efficient techniques
• Maintain product quality by following cut specifications and handling poultry carefully to reduce damage and waste
• Follow strict sanitation, hygiene, and food safety practices, including proper PPE use and contamination prevention
• Keep work area clean and organized and support line housekeeping standards
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or product irregularities to a supervisor promptly

• Repetitive tasks in a production-line environment
• Standing for extended periods
• Physically demanding work with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
• Handling heavy loads and weight handling up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination required for cutting and preparation tasks
• High attention to detail required to meet cut specifications and quality standards
