Job Overview
BANDRA CAFE WHITE ROCK INC is hiring a Kitchen Helper to support daily café and kitchen operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, quick on their feet, and committed to cleanliness and food safety. You will support the kitchen team by washing dishes, keeping work areas organized, helping with basic food preparation, stocking supplies, packaging take-out orders, and assisting counter service when needed. Experience is an asset, but we welcome motivated candidates who are ready to learn and work hard in a busy kitchen setting.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience

• Experience is an asset (kitchen helper, dishwasher, café/restaurant, fast food, or food service)
• On-the-job training provided

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware; sanitize items to required standards
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand when required
• Place dishes in storage areas and keep dish stations organized for efficient service
• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs; load buspans and trays and return items to the kitchen
• Carrying and replace linen as required for service operations
• Portion and wrap foods; package take-out food accurately and neatly
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables when assigned and maintain friendly, professional service
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars and rotate items as directed
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for prep and service
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas following safe storage practices
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash and maintain clean, safe work areas
• Sharpen kitchen knives as required and store equipment safely
• Support kitchen cleanliness and food safety by wiping surfaces and following hygiene procedures

• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and follow instructions accurately
