Job Overview
Armoires Perreault inc. is hiring an experienced Furniture Assembler (Wood) to support the production of high-quality wooden furniture and fixture components in Rimouski, QuΓ©bec. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented craftsperson who takes pride in clean assembly, smooth finishing, and consistent quality. You will prepare and assemble wood (and some metal) parts into subassemblies and finished products, apply lacquer or sealers, and perform quality inspections and final polishing. Experience
- 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience in woodworking, cabinet/furniture assembly, finishing, or a similar manufacturing environment
Work Setting
- Furniture and fixture manufacturing/assembly environment
- Day shift in a production shop with quality standards and deadlines
Key Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts to meet specifications and finishing standards
- Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete finished articles
- Apply lacquer or other sealers according to shop procedures and quality requirements
- Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards, fit, and finish
- Clean, polish, and wax furniture to achieve a professional final appearance
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and handle materials carefully to reduce damage and waste
- Follow safety procedures and use tools and finishing materials responsibly
